Really good location with good atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, it’s worth the value paid to stay. The staff was good and friendly. I have to give a special thank you to Alejandro at the front desk for always being attentive to what my wife and I needed during the stay with them to make everything right for us. We had a few special requests at the beginning of our stay, and Edgar and Brandon were immediately ready to help. They took care of our needs promptly and thoughtfully, making sure we were comfortable and that our stay was truly enjoyable. That level of personal attention made all the difference. My daughter and her bridesmaid stayed at Stanton House a few days before and during the wedding and the staff was fabulous. They went out of their way to make sure they had everything they needed and that they were comfortable. We had a lot of special requests for her special day and they came through with every request. From arrival to departure, every person we encountered was extremely helpful, kind, and eager to please. We were upgraded to a lovely room, and the bed was huge and comfy. Joshua kindly held our bags for us after check out as our flight was a little later in the day, and we took the extra time to visit the nearby FREE El Paso Historical museum. There are also many good options for food within walking distance. The area of town is really cute, and we kind of regret not having more time to explore! Want to give a big shout out to Brandon and Kevin on reception for taking such care of my team, in fact Brandon stayed after his shift to make sure we were all taking care off. Also Raul in the restaurant what a true asset to SH. This review is specifically regarding the fine dining at Taft Diaz, I have visited on several occasions and it is consistently delicious, great ambiance and kind staff. The food particularly the Cacio e Pepe, beet salad and the tacos are outstanding. Can’t wait to visit for happy hour, Ilse at the bar makes amazing drinks including my favorite desert cocktail (carajillo). Will be back, again and again!

   We stayed here last weekend. The hotel was nice, modern, and clean. All of the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Great customer service. I requested a pack-n-play for my son and it was inside our room when we arrived. The hotel is kid friendly. I don’t plan on staying anywhere else but Stanton House when I return to El Paso.    man i cant speak more highly of this place, the service was fantastic, the room was awesome, clean  and comfortable. it also has a top tier restaurant with amazing food. the host Alejandro Valenzuela was a cool guy and very professional i give him and the whole staff a 10/10. will be going back in Octobers hopefully i can catch a guest Michelin star chef at their restaurant during my stay.

Perfect place to stay in San Antonio. The downtown location was great, the room was big, clean and well decorated. The only negative is that the door to the bathroom is fogged glass so if one in your room wants to keep sleeping the light shines in the room. But besides that and if everyone wakes up at the same time it’s fine. The food was outstanding! We did room service for dinner and breakfast and it was so good and came fast.

I love this hotel. From the Shylights that drift up and down in the Taft Diaz restaurant to the thoughtfully decorated rooms, this place is distinctive. Real marble tile in the bathroom, heavy cut-glass glasses at the bar- places where corporate hotels cut costs this place goes all in. The spa is great and the food is wonderful. Notably, the art collection of contemporary art is the best you will find for free in Texas. Plus, there’s an added emphasis on Hispanic artists whose work I would not have known about otherwise and the work is incredible. Stanton House is creating a vision of TexMex excellence and I am here for it. Finally, the service is outstanding. We had a difficult run in with a loud and crass gentleman who wandered into the bar being disruptive. Oskar handled the situation immediately and without incident. Top tier professionalism and service that you don’t see everywhere. I have traveled all over and I would recommend people to visit El Paso just to experience this hotel.

the location of the hotel was perfect for the things we needed to do. It's a very chic modern and minimalist hotel. the room we had was a king studio room- the bed was very comfortable- the only unique thing was the openness of the bathroom to the rest of the room. Stanton House in downtown El Paso was such a great surprise! This is one of those boutique hotels where the word “boutique” actually means something. Everything felt clean, thoughtfully designed and intentional, from the artwork and decor to the layout of the rooms.

My room had a great layout, but the bathroom was probably my favorite part. The shower had such a spa-like feel and the entire space felt elevated without trying too hard.

But the real star of this stay was Taft-Díaz, the restaurant inside the hotel. First of all, the atmosphere is incredible. Above the restaurant is this fascinating moving light installation that honestly looked like glowing sea creatures floating and dancing through the air. I had no idea what I was looking at, but I loved it and watched it forever!

And then there was the FOOD. I started with the tiradito, followed by their Signature Corn & Truffle Soup, and that soup was unlike anything I’ve ever had. The presentation alone was memorable, but the flavor was absolutely out of this world. Taft-Díaz was easily one of the highlights of my stay and a restaurant I would return to even if I weren’t staying at the hotel.

I also had breakfast the following morning, which was pretty good, and I loved the fun little coffee bar area where you can sit and enjoy your morning without feeling like you’re stuck in a traditional hotel restaurant.

Overall, Stanton House felt polished, interesting and genuinely memorable. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the decor felt intentional, the room and bathroom were well designed, and Taft-Díaz took the experience to another level. This one definitely stands out from the sea of cookie-cutter hotels I stay in!

We stayed here for one night when passing through El Paso. I would definitely stay again and wish we could have stayed an additional night. From the outside, the hotel looks small and very standard, but as you enter, it gets better and better! Our standard rate (very reasonable) room was so spacious with high ceilings! The carpet they chose was a great choice. And yes, as the other reviews say, the rooms seem very clean... but maybe that's cause the lighting is quite dim. Either way, it felt clean! Our room had a view into the restaurant, which was fun actually (esp if you enjoy people watching... sorry, I guess that's awkward if you're dining and there is someone watching you...). And the unique lights that fly up and down (you'll have to go see what I am talking about) were fun for our kids to look at from the room. The bathroom was huge with two sinks and the toilet was separated in its own little compartment (I love when they do that!). The shower was big, but maybe designed for taller people in mind... The staff are kind and welcoming. The restaurant was a little pricey, but the food was good. You can tell the hotel cares about the arts and had art in mind when creating the vibe of the hotel.

Stanton house is my go to when I’m in town for work. Marcelle always makes me feel welcome. The rooms are clean, with nice decor and very spacious.    First time staying at this hotel, we stayed here for a little staycation and we where blown away the rooms are perfect updated , location perfect in the middle of everything downtown walking distance to almost everything. We went for a quick city get away on our 33rd anniversary. Checked in to a beautiful terrace suite and had an amazing couples massage with sinus and headache treatment at Bliss. In the morning, the room was 80 degrees - the hallway was too. Talked to the front desk who said maintenance would be in in an hour or so and they would take a look. Went to breakfast. Came back a couple hours later and it was still hot. We had planned to just spend the day hanging out in the Air Conditioning in our beautiful suite. Talked to the desk clerk whose name starts with B (can’t remember the rest) and was offered a different room, but only a queen bed was available. I wasn’t thrilled and the clerk could see it - I was going to accept the room and enjoy my stay (every room in the hotel is beautiful and relaxing). Alejandro came up to the desk and spoke with B - they found a king room for us! With a soaking tub! The clerks were so helpful and gracious - they offered a food and beverage credit, a gift of house coffee and their well wishes in continuing all the good things from the last 33 years. Stanton House is always our first choice. The king suite is spacious and well designed. The beds are very comfortable and blankets are fluffy, though admittedly my favorite part is the shower; feels very luxurious after a long trip. Plus, the rooms are always clean. The restaurant is artistic and food is good if you’re feeling like splurging a little. All of the staff are professional and friendly though Edgar deserves particular mention. The staff was very friendly. The Standard was modern and chic. Clean relaxing atmosphere. The room is comfortable and quiet. Nothing fancy, but the service and whole Standard vibe makes up for that. You pull up to the front and valet parking takes care of you. It is located in the heart of downtown with plenty of restaurants and nightlife going on. There is much to do in El Paso, but for a cozy upper getaway where you don't want to travel all over the place. Standard House is the spot. I’m in the process of moving into my new place, and I needed lodging for the weekend. I had already stayed at SH with my girlfriend before, and the staff are always helpful, courteous, and make you feel welcome. Jason at Taft-Diaz recommended the best salmon and smoked tomato bisque I have ever had. What a cool guy. Zero pretentiousness and utterly beautiful and classy hotel. The valet parking gentlemen are so friendly and nice as well. Can’t wait to be back with my girlfriend to check out the spa. Thank you for what you do for El Paso, Stanton House.    There are 4-5 nice hotels in El Paso abd I have stayed at all of them.  Nothing and I mean nothing compares to this place, from the owner down to housekeeping.  Kitchen preparation is a 10! Must are the steak tacos. I get the Taft Salad with Salmon and it’s amazing.
Bini at the front is awesome, everyone knows Guillermo and he’s awesome, Rene in management is great, Roberto in the bar is also amazing.

I’m not overselling.  This place could teach Ritz Carlton about service.

Am awesome and beautiful experience into an absolutely wonderful dining experience. The service is top-notch quality of food is fresh and delicious. The portions of the shareable are quite large. This is my favorite hotel in Texas! The service is always spectacular. Edgar’s was phenomenal at the desk. Checkout was seamless. The coffee bar and the manager of the bar absolutely blow us away with their service and execution every single time. We have deemed Stanton House hour home away from home. Can’t wait to visit again. Nice hotel w good bed & pillows and the black out blinds were the best...no gap of light that shoots into your eye. Rain shower head and the bath products were wonderful. Loved having the mini bar. My only issue was the instant coffee in the room. Reminded me of visiting my grandma in the 80's. All that upscale ambience and then there are Folgers packets?! C'mon.

We absolutely love this place and always try to make it a stop when headed out west! Bini takes such great care of every guest and Edgar made our check in so smooth! From the valet to the service staff in the restaurant - EVERYONE goes above and beyond! This location is perfect for downtown fun, however we never leave. It is that lovely! We were here for one night just passing through, and I don’t think I have ever stayed in a more beautiful hotel. All of the staff were so nice and so welcoming and friendly and always providing anything we needed! Parking was super easy $30 for overnight valet and 24/7 secure. I felt very safe and comfortable leaving my car with staff. We stayed in just the basic queen room and wow, the room itself was amazing, the sheets and towels were one millions times better than any I’ve felt before. I wish I could go back to El Paso just to stay at this hotel again. Hotel seems like the workers actually care and thought was put into the hotel itself and it’s not just another chain. 100/10 experience. The Stanton House was an exceptional experience. The hotel was clean, modern, and had a great workout facility. We couldn't have asked for a better room.
